Security, whatever the weather

Protecting the Caymans in hurricane season

Because we work all over the world, we have to help customers cope with and prepare for all kinds of climates, from extreme cold to extreme heat. Our teams draw on their expertise to prepare for all eventualities, since the weather can affect even technical equipment in ways you might not expect, whether it’s laptops melting or server rooms overheating.

In the Cayman Islands and across the Caribbean, where hurricane season is an annual concern, we work with our government customers to make sure their buildings and technology are protected. Specifically, we make sure that secure communication systems are robust and that accessible back-up systems are in place, to ensure communications to and from the UK and other countries aren’t disrupted during these events. We even make sure that staff are trained to set those systems up in an emergency, so that the government’s day-to-day work can continue, no matter what happens.
